Actress in Spanish television, theater and radio born in Barcelona in 1950. Famous for being one of the Almodóvar girls and for starring in films Mujeres al borde de un ataque de nervios or ¡Átame! in the eighties.
Loles' filmography includes a wide repertoire among her films, television appearances on shows and series and short films. Among her movies we find El amante bilingüe and Libertinas with Vicente Aranda. In 1998 she was candidate for the Goya Prize for the best female cast performance thanks to her main roles in Amor de hombre and La Niña de tus ojos. In 2003 she began working on the successful Spanish series Aquí no hay quien viva as Paloma Hurtado and simultaneously, she combined starring and secondary roles in Obra maestra, Hable con ella, or series such as Águila Roja or Anclados, later in 2015. Loles has laso appeared in videoclips from artist Rosario Flores and published Cocinando con Loles in 2013.
She returned to the theater in 2011 with the play La gran depresión, a comedy by the company La Perla. In 2016 she took part the movie The Queen of Spain and starred in the short film El Mundo Entero, shot in Badajoz, awarded in many festivals for her performance. That same year she also participated in the first edition of the MasterChef Celebrity, the gastronomic competition program where she was 3 semi-finalist.
Since 2016, Loles appears in the television series La que se avecina in Telecinco, playing Menchu, the main character.
In 2019, the actress participated in the Oscar-nominated film, Dolor y Gloria, by Almodóvar, alongside Antonio Banderas and Penelope Cruz.
In 2021, Loles León premiered the musical comedy Una noche con ella, written by Juan Luis Iborra based on the actress's own experiences. On TV, Loles participates as a contestant in a new edition of Your face sounds to me, along with other celebrities.
