Juan was born in Cuba in 1990, but he lives between Madrid and New York. The model jumped into fame after starring in Tom Ford’s advertising campaign. Since then, Juan has not stopped working worldwide with several international brands such as Giorgio Armani, Jean Paul Gaultier, Brunello Cucinelli, Ports 1961, Massimo Dutti, Victorio & Lucchino, Roberto Verino or Greg Lauren.
He has been featured in magazines such as GQ, Vanity Fair, Risbel Magazine, Forbes, Esquire, Glamour Spain, Men’s Health Spain, Schön Magazine and Vogue Spain, among others. The top Spanish photographers have been charmed by his latin look, these include Xevi Muntané, Gorka Postigo, Sergi Pons, Edu Garcia or Dennis Weber.
In 2017, Betancourt appeared for the first time in television as a competitor in the second edition of Masterchef Celebrity, a gastronomic competition program. A year later, he took part in the film “Las Leyes de la Termodinámica” directed by Mateo Gil.
In 2021 we could see Betancourt in the production of Atresplayer Premium, Toy Boy. Later in 2022 he won the television contest El Desafio where we could see the most sporting side of him.
